We don\u2019t have to guess why, do we? He\u2019s another NFL football player who may have suffered one too many concussions from one too many hits.<\/p>\n<p>If I had to do it all over again, I would not play football as I did as a young kid. I liked the strategy of it. I was not the fastest, but I could think fast and was good at knowing what a team was about to do, so I could often get to the play before it was fully executed.<\/p>\n<p>But the sport has outlived its rules. Players are better training, bigger, strong, faster and quicker and the violence that happens on just about every play takes a dangerous toll on those who play it.<\/p>\n<p>NFL players do not generally have a great quality of life once they begin hitting their 50 and 60s. Their bodies start to deteriorate, especially their brains. I love to watch the sport, as you do I suspect, but no way I would get close to a football field if I was a young man.
