I have to go into Group Health for more lab work to determine if I’m closer to dying than I wish, and then there are the crazy things going on in the world that just rattles my cage more than I wish.

So today I’m going to go to the Boneyard to get rid of all these crazy thoughts that are swirling around in my mind and creating that bad mood. It’s the least I can do for myself.

Yesterday I got the weird feeling that Donald Trump was actually a genuine presidential candidate and not the whacko nut he seems to be most of the time. The reason I got that feeling is that he is saying things that we all are pressured not to say. In other words, political correctness often censors our thoughts from spilling out of our mouths. But the Trumpster (or is that dumpster?) has no compulsion to let his thoughts fly and to heck with PC. And for some reason I find that a little refreshing, although I’m still scared that hair piece on his head will come flying off someday and kill somebody.

That reminds me that I tweeted last week that polls showed him second among Republicans; his hair was first.

For some reason I know is not right, I’ve slid over to the Greek side in their dispute with creditors in the European Union, and I guess it’s because I find it difficult to force somebody to tighten their belt before they get a loan when the belt is already so tight it is strangling them. So that seems a stupid request. But then what do I know. I’m broke myself.

What makes me seem stupid is that I don’t like the Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, who leans so far left that he is almost far right. And he has gotten cozy with Putin and anybody who can cozy up to that brutal, cold-blooded killer, has to be not only crazy, but quite stupid.

Then there is the guy who set fireworks off on top of his head, and as 100 percent of the rest of us already knew before he did it what was going to happen, it happened just as we expected. Now the mother of the guy blames the government for the lack of stricter controls and lack of rules and safety training for fireworks.

She obviously is not a Republican for wanting more government regulation, but the bottom line is we don’t need more government regulations but better education. Stupid is still stupid. My dog would know better.

I’m getting tired of all the discussion about Russell Wilson’s contract negotiations with the Seahawks. Why do I care? It’s not my money. It’s not my salary. But day after day all you can hear on Seattle sports shock jock radio talk is Wilson and the Seahawks, Wilson and the Seahawks, Wilson and the Seahawks. It’s enough to make me want to light fireworks off the top of my head.

Those same shock jocks are puzzled about Wilson. They can’t figure him out, and that amuses me to no end. His do-gooder, All-American Boy, almost perfect personality has got them seeking a crack in that façade because, they say, nobody is that perfect. It’s like they want to expose him for a phony, like was accomplished with A-Rod, who is a phony, although this baseball season he has perfected a persona that almost is Russell Wilson-like.

The shock jocks don’t consider – can’t consider – that maybe Wilson IS the all-American boy and is not hiding behind Christianity, but is, indeed, a true Christian believer who is a follower of Jesus Christ.

I’m sure they are still hoping to find a crack in the façade. If they do, you can expect it will be repeated on radio for, oh, the next decade or so.

If those shock jocks had any intelligence, they would consider taking a closer look at the Seattle Mariners. This is a team that coming out of spring training was expected by most media, including the big national guys, to play in the World Series in October. Yet, here they are playing less than .500 ball coming into the All-Star Game break, and nobody on radio or TV is jumping up and down and pouncing on general manager Jackie Z or manger Lloyd McClendon for not having the club in serious contention.

So what gives with that? Is the media too scared to say what is obvious, that those two guys are not getting it done? I don’t think players are giving it their all for McClendon. There is something missing there. And Jackie Z trading for Mark Trumbo has to be one of the dumbest things he has done, and he has gone a few dumb things.

The problem with my criticism is that I don’t offer replacement for these two guys that would guarantee a turnaround. If Lou Piniella would come out of retirement, and he won’t, that would be my first step. Then I would go out on the street and tap the first person I see on the shoulder and hire him on the spot as the next general manager. Would that be a bad move? I don’t think so. I might get lucky, which is more than I can say for what luck the team is having now with Jackie Z.

One more thing I need to expel from my mind is all the media people who discount the U.S. women winning the soccer World Cup with a dominating victory over Japan. I’m heard one shock jock say that the women could not beat a good high school boy’s soccer team. Others said that they can’t and don’t watch soccer, especially women’s soccer.

I heard the same argument about women’s basketball. When I was covering Washington Husky women’s basketball games there were several notable Seattle area writers and columnists who were never there. One of them, a former friend of mine, was adamant about never covering the UW women’s team. He said that it’s not basketball and he would never go to one of their games.

This kind of thinking is what stops us from being a fair and justice society, and don’t get me started on skin color and what that continues to do to fairness and justice in our country.

We have come a long way from our horse and buggy days, but in some key aspects we have not come far at all. Until we overcome some of our stupid and often hateful beliefs we will always be less than perfect as the shining example we are supposed to be for the rest of the world.

Now if Donald Trump could get rid of that awful blue suit and red tie and, most of all, that hair, the world will be, for me, just a little better.

That’s enough for today. I feel better already.

Be well pal.

Be careful out there.

Have a great day.

You are loved.

TERRY MOSHER DONALD TRUMP I’m not in a good mood today.
