Donald Trump is insane. He’s nuts. Crazy. Never in the history of this great country – and it is a great country – has a presidential candidate been so, well, stupid, so huge a narcissist, so much a liar, so much a con artist, so much a bully, so much an intimidator, so much a hater, so much a dark night.

There was a guy on a news show the other night that said Trump believes only he has the truth. If it’s a lie, it’s also the truth in his mind, and he’s entitled to have that lie (truth) and only he has it.

Yeah, I know, it doesn’t make sense. But then Trump is insane. He’s not mentally fit by anybody’s description. And there he is, the nominee of a major political party in the United States, the greatest and most powerful country in the world, going on and on and taking on all comers – even a mother and her baby the other day – and the world is trembling because it is scared that this insane person might become president of this great country, and God can only help them and us if that happens.

Trump actually asked on a news show yesterday why he could not use nuclear weapons. He asked not just once, but three times. Man, does anybody want him near the nuclear codes?

This nonsense can be stopped by one thing – Trump’s income tax returns. He says he won’t release them because they are being audited back to 2012. Well, first of all, he does not have a legal requirement to release them. Second, he can release them if he wants while they are being audited. And third, he can release his taxes from before 2012 if he wants.

But I, and many others, believe that he is hiding something and that if it gets out in the public it will doom his election bid. Well, dummy, by refusing to release them he clearly is saying that he has something to hide and that alone should raise alarm bells about him, as if those are the only alarm bells about him.

My guess is that he is nowhere as wealthy as he claims (remember he lies about everything) and that he is in huge debt (he once said that he is the “King of Debt,” That is probably the only thing that he has said that is truthful.

Presidential candidates releasing their tax returns goes back to 1952 when Richard Nixon was running as a vice presidential candidate with Dwight Eisenhower and he challenged the Democratic candidates Adlai Stevenson and Sen. John Sparkman to release theirs. They did, but Nixon did not until much later when he was a presidential candidate.

The tax returns for the Clintons – Bill and Hillary – have been released back to 1977.

Some of the political party bosses in the Republican Party are trying to talk the Trumpster into running a more conventional campaign and reel him in. But I think it’s going to be fruitless. The guy believes he is superior to everybody else and only he can fix problems and nobody else is worthy of having an opinion. And if they do have an opposite opinion, he will blast them as fools or worse. So good luck Charlie Brown in trying to help the crazy man get some common sense.

On a bright note, only in a great and free country like the United States of America can a guy like Trump that is as crazy as a Looney Tune run for president. If George Wallace could run for president and if Huey Long was only stopped from becoming a presidential candidate because he was assassinated before he could, then why not this Looney Tune?

On an even brighter note, it’s another beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest region of this great country, somewhere the fish are biting, the bald eagles are soaring in a soft breeze, our 20-year-old son has just been called into work for tomorrow, our 19-year-old daughter is in Idaho at a Christian camp as a team leader for the younger kids, and the Mariners are still celebrating a late comeback win over Boston from last night at the Safe after Robinson Cano belted his 24th home run, a three-run job that gave the M’s a 5-4 lead in the top of the ninth and new closer, Edwin Diaz, threw in the upper 90s while striking out three with one walk to win his first Major League save.

So go out and celebrate the sunny day.

Be well pal.

Be careful out there.

Have a great day.

You are loved.

TERRY MOSHER I don’t want to pile on. Okay, I really do.
