Runge led five others into the TV finals, including Kitsap County\u2019s top bowler, Lonnie Sharkey in sixth place.<\/p>\n<p>Sharkey won a three-person shootout in the first match, knocking out Mike VanWinkle and Tim Clemens. Sharkey then beat Brandon VanWinkle 245-191 and Curtis Messer Sr. 2016-167 to meet Runge in the championship match.<\/p>\n<p>Runge struck out in the 10<sup>th<\/sup> frame, forcing Sharkey to strike out to beat him. He couldn\u2019t do it and Runge won 235-211 to claim his first KSBO title.<\/p>\n<p>Bob Zurbrugg qualified third out of six finalists in the Seven Cedars Casino 205-and-under division and was able to win three matches in a row to win his sixth KSBO title.<\/p>\n<p>Zurbrugg defeated Aaron Austin, 217-190, Quade Beck 218-213 and top qualifier Preston Craig 223-216 to earn his title.<\/p>\n<p>Next up for KSBO is the Grey Chevrolet Open and the Truth Chiropractic 205 and under division on April 6 at Hi-Joy Bowl in Port Orchard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ben Runge won the third annual Kitsap Scratch Bowlers Organization\u2019s George Peabody Memorial sponsored by Campbell Roofing.
