The Huskies have good talent, but for the most part it’s inexperienced and young. It takes time to put a party together. It takes coordination from everybody and it’s not any different when you are talking about a football team. I see some players starting to emerge – tight end Hunter Bryant (although he didn’t have a very good game Saturday against Stanford with a few too many drops), defensive back Elijah Molden, DB Myles Bryant’s credentials were already established, linebacker Joe Tryon, linebacker Brandon Wellington, receiver Puka Nacua (he’s not quite in the limelight yet, but will be), DB Cameron Williams (his talent is very evident), DB Asa Turner, DB Trent McDuffie (like Williams, he’s a keeper), running back Sean McGrew (he’s small, but tough), running back Salvon Ahmed (the quickest of the quick), DB Keith Taylor, running back Richard Newton (he’s my favorite, but now is injured), linebacker Kyler Manu, kicker Tim Horn, place kicker Peyton Henry, OL Jaxson Kirkland, linebacker Ryan Bowman, OL Nick Harris (maybe the best along the line) and tight end Cade Otton. As you see, I do not name any defensive lineman. Not that there isn’t talent there, but I have not noticed any of them stepping forward. Molden is probably the one for me that has made the greatest strides. He seems to always be around the ball. Molden is a former high school 6A all-state player from West Linn, Oregon. He’s a junior. Williams and McDuffie are going to be big stars. Williams, a freshman, was a three-year quarterback at Bakersfield High School in California. McDuffie is also a freshman and was highly decorated coming out of St. John Bosco High School in Westminster, California (I just remembered one of the three guys that I left Portville, NY with in January of 1960 for California wound up his last years living in Westminster.) Harris is the Huskies center and the most important guy on the OL for the Huskies, more so then even 6-foot-8, 314-pound left tackle Trey Adams, the most coveted player on the line by most experts who will probably be a high draft pick. … No big surprised Jay Gruden was fired as Washington Redskins coach. The ‘Skins are 0-5 this year and were 35-49-1 overall under Gruden, who was the fifth coach fired by owner Dan Snyder since he took over in 1999. I don’t know what is wrong with the Redskins other than Snyder is always at the center of some controversy. Maybe it’s time for new ownership. That’s it for today.

Be well pal.

Be careful out there.

Have a great day.

You are loved.

TERRY MOSHER TOP OF THE TOWN‑ It is not surprising Washington was dropped from the college football polls (coaches and…

[12,3

post-3481","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-column","category-mosher
["GET
