The attention he was getting was well deserved after he became the first Arizona player since 2003 to have an interception, a forced fumble and a sack and hurry two months after he signed a $59 million extension of his contract first inked four years ago. Baker, a safety who played the edge in this game, was a major disrupter in the surprisingly easy victory. His quickness, aggression and his ton of football knowledge has served him well as a pro after doing much the same with the Huskies. But did you know another Husky had an impact on the game. Murphy, playing slot cornerback in his second pro season, was marvelous. He graded out at 81.6 by Pro Football Focus – 90.4 against the run and 77.5 in coverage – as he finished with eight tackles and a fumble recovery and two passes broken up. The Seahawks will be at Arizona Sunday as they try for a 6 -0 record against the 4-2 Cardinals who are playing very well on defense and are rolling behind the little guy, Kyle Murray at quarterback. Murray is quick on his feet and has the ability to make the strong throw downfield. He threw for 188 yards and two touchdowns and added 74 rushing yards and a TD on 10 carries. The 5-10, 210-pound Murray is like a pesky flea. He’s annoying, and can get around end as quick as a deer. The Seahawks will have their hands full trying to slow down this little guy. … I am amused that talking sports heads on TV are now labeling the Seahawks as a Super Bowl contender and currently the best team in the NFL. Give me a break. Yeah, the Hawks can be explosive offensively, but they haven’t shown they can stop water right now and through five games they are the worse defensive team in the league. Maybe the bye week has allowed some of the injured to get healed and are ready to shore up that weak defense. You better hope that is the case. The five Hawks’ wins have come against teams with a combined 9-20 record and the collective margin of victory is 34 (or 6.8 points a game). The Hawks have also given up 135 points (or 27 points a game). So don’t go around bragging or believing the sports talk jocks on TV. They have drunk too much coffee. You see what those boys are like when before this past weekend’s games they were designating Aaron Rodgers as the possible MVP and you see what happened to that. Rodgers had maybe his worse career game – two interceptions – and a passer rating that would not get past the MVD/. His final stats were 16 for 35 and 160 yards. No touchdowns and those two interceptions. So take a deep breath and don’t post Russell Wilson for the league MVP. There is a long way to go. That’s it for today.

Be well pal.

Be careful out there.

Have a great day.

TERRY MOSHER TOP OF THE TOWN – Twitter went crazy after Budda Baker, the former Washington Husky from Bellevue…

[12,3

post-3872","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-column","category-mosher
["GET
