His real name is Zion Tuopuola-Fetui and he has been unexpectedly the biggest surprise of this shorten college football season for the Washington Huskies. The 6-3, 280-pound redshirt sophomore outside linebacker has been extremely impressive through the Huskies’ first three games. He’s been named the Pac-12’s top defensive lineman for all three games, and this past week in Washington’s 24-21 victory over Utah he was also named Athlon Sports National Defensive Player of the Week and the Chuck Bednarik Award National Player of the Week. The Lion has recorded an amazing seven sacks and three forced fumbles in those three games, a remarkable feat under any circumstances. His average sack total tops the nation and his forced fumbles are second. All I got to say is wow. The Seahawks could use the Lion…. I’m not doing as well as I thought predicting games. I guess I have gotten old. My excuse other than age is that the virus has screwed up teams and their schedules, including practices, so everybody is trying to get better on the come. There are some tough matchups this week, including once-beaten Liberty at unbeaten (9-0) Coastal Carolina, ranked 18th by the CFP. West Virginia at Iowa State and Indiana at Wisconsin should be dandies and I’m expecting a close game when Washington State visits USC. Washington hosts Stanford, which always gives the Huskies trouble. The Cardinal are not doing well, but coach David Shaw is a good one so I expect a struggle in which Zion the Lion could be the difference. The Seahawks get a breather with the Giants visiting. The Seahawks, though, seem to find a way to play to their competition, so don’t get to celebrating. I like the Giants to win the weak NFC East, so there is that. Buffalo at San Francisco should be a good one. I like the 49ers. That’s it for now. Be safe.

Be well pal.

Be careful out there.

Have a great day.

You are loved.

Colleges

Ohio State at Michigan State (OS)

Texas A&M at Auburn (A&M)

Oklahoma State at TCU (OS)

Texas at Kansas State (Texas)

Nebraska at Purdue (Purdue)

Penn State at Rutgers (PS)

Arkansas at Missouri (Missouri)

Liberty at Coastal Carolina (CC)

Florida at Tennessee (Florida)

West Virginia at Iowa State (IS)

Indiana at Wisconsin (Wisconsin)

Iowa at Illinois (Iowa)

Tulsa at Navy (Tulsa)

Boston College at Virginia (Virginia)

Buffalo at Ohio (Buffalo)

Stanford at Washington (Washington)

Georgia Tech at North Carolina State (NCS)

Oregon at California (Oregon)

Colorado at Arizona (Colorado)

Clemson at Virginia Tech (Clemson)

South Carolina at Kentucky (Kentucky)

Miami at Duke (Miami)

Baylor at Oklahoma (Oklahoma)

Houston at SMU (SMU)

Oregon State at Utah (Utah)

UCLA at Arizona State (ASU)

Washington State at USC (USC)

Pros

New York Giants at Seattle (Seattle)

New Orleans at Atlanta (NO)

Detroit at Chicago (Detroit)

Cleveland at Tennessee (Tennessee)

Cincinnati at Miami (Miami)

Jacksonville at Minnesota (Minnesota)

Las Vegas at New York Jets (LV)

Indianapolis at Houston (Houston)

Los Angeles Rams at Arizona (Rams)

Philadelphia at Green Bay (GB)

New England at Los Angeles Chargers (NE)

Denver at Kansas City (KC)

Washington at Pittsburgh (Pitt)

Buffalo at San Francisco (SF)

Last week – 21-9

Season ‑ 206-105-1 (66.2 Percent)

TERRY MOSHER TOP OF THE TOWN – Let us call him Zion the Lion because he’s a mauler, a vicious…

[12,3

post-3904","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-column","category-mosher
["GET
