It’s crazy out here. Our President, Joe Biden, goes on TV and tries to assure us that everything is alright, that his actions will result in a better life for us when I know they won’t. He should quit trying to kiss up to us and get tough. Joe is a nice guy, but we don’t need niceness now. Lou “The Lip” Durocher, manager of the Dodgers, had it right when he said “Nice guys finish last.” He once said of future hall of famer Mel Ott, “He’s a nice guy, and he finishes second.” Then he said of Eddie Stanky, “He can’t hit, can’t run, can’t field. He’s no nice guy, but all the little son-of-a-bitch can do is win.” I know Biden inside is tough, but he needs to show it. Put the hammer down on those OPEC guys. Get the oil flowing and for god’s sake, use the power of your office to fix the supply chain mess that is driving inflation. Get tough!!! I also think it’s way past time to supply Ukraine with those MIG fighter jets. Putin is on the run. Go get ‘em. … Speaking of nice and losing, that sounds to me like Pete Carroll. I don’t blame him or John Schneider for trading Russell Wilson after Wilson said he would not sign a long term deal with the Seahawks. That statement meant Wilson wanted out of town. Which means, he’s two-faced, professing his love for Seattle while secretly telling his bosses he wanted out of town. Wilson is a phony two-faced bad guy pretending he’s a nice guy. Now he can kiss butt in Denver. … No matter what Drew Lock says, no matter what Carroll says, Drew Lock is not a good starting quarterback. What he is is the perfect guy for Carroll, whose style of offense is more Woody Hayes’ three yards and a cloud of dust. Carroll wants an obedient quarterback who will do what he says – run the damn football and throw the football only when the situation is dire. Wilson was good at the latter, producing miracles out of what looked like a lost cause. But Wilson tired of being an obedient manager of the football game. He wanted to cook, a phrase that became over used because Wilson wasn’t allowed to cook much of the time. Which is why he’s now in Denver. Wilson wanted to cook. And don’t get me started on the other Seahawk quarterbacks – Jacob Eason and someday soon Geno Smith. Smith is not signed yet. He is holding out for more money (good for him), but he is a turnover waiting to happen and I wouldn’t trust him to take a football home with him. He would lose it. As for Eason, I thought he was terrible at Washington. He has a great arm and that is it for any positive. He has no touch, can’t figure out how to get away from pressure, and is overhyped as a good quarterback. He’s not. Speaking of Washington, I don’t know what to make of the Huskies this upcoming season. New coaching staff, new players, new offense and defense and, yet, a famous broadcaster said on radio the other day that the Huskies will win the Pac-12 North. That guy needs a long, cold shower. The one positive I can now see of the Huskies is the attitude of new coach Kalen DeBoer. He’s building an atmosphere of love. Love for his players and love for the program. But there is a warning: follow the advice of Durocher and if DeBoer is a real nice guy maybe the Huskies are in deep, deep trouble. … Do you see what I see about LeBron James? Yeah, he can still command a game and is averaging 30 points a game this season, but I see him getting old and breaking down physically more and more and needs more rest than usual. As he does to all of us, Father Time is catching up with him. Sad to see the great ones face their expiration dates, but as in real life as old ones go out with the tide new great ones come in with a new tide. Yeah, I’m talking about Tae Young, Ja Morant, Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell and even former Washington Husky Dejounte Murray among the many. So don’t cry for LeBron. He’s got a few bucks. Forbes estimates he’s worth $850 million. LeBron is also rumored to be part of the ownership group that is eyeing an NBA franchise in Las Vegas. Ok, that is enough for today. Stay safe.

Be well pal.

Be careful out there.

Have a great day.

You are loved.

TERRY MOSHER TOP OF THE TOWN – I don’t know what is going on in our world.
