Bumming around town with Bill Bumerton<\/h1>\n

Bumerton is a retired Navy fighter pilot who had been missing in action for several years while he traversed the globe looking for greener grass. He discovered the grass is only greener here (it\u2019s blue in Kentucky), so he returned to again take charge of his 1954 green Hudson Hornet that has been in storage, refilled his pipe, and is ready to continue his smokin\u2019 ways. Here is what he recently told us at the Sports Paper.<\/p>\n

Wow, Big Dawg, the President is getting real tough. He says any military action that is taken against Syria for its alleged gas attack would be limited and a shot across the bow to warn its leadership that they better not do it again. Man, that is real, real tough. The President should have added, \u201cPretty please.\u201d Or make the Syrians pledge, \u201cTo cross your fingers and hope to die\u201d if they do it again. And it\u2019s always nice to warn your enemy you might do something in a few days just in case he may want to hide somewhere, or maybe buy a plane ticket to Hawaii for some R&R. I think it would be better if the President and Syrian president Bashar al-Assad just did a long distance phone call and played a game of \u201crock-paper-scissors\u201d to decide what can be done. Or the President can just tell Assad if he promises not to do it again, come the Christian holiday of Christmas he will light a candle for him. Of course, if he does do it again the President can scratch him off from his Christmas card list.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
