January 13 – Bob Moawad, who coached baseball and basketball at Central Kitsap in the late 1960s. Moawad’s 1969 CK team won the state AA basketball championship. Moawad made one more coaching stop, at Clover Park High School, and then founded the Edge Learning Institute, a positive image-consulting firm that is now led by Dick Anderson, former West Bremerton basketball coach.
