TERRY MOSHER

I don’t know why it’s obvious to some of us and not others why Donald Trump is a very dangerous man. It keeps me up at night worrying that this man could be the president of the United States, a country that I hold dear and want to protect with all my body and soul.

All I can do is continue to hammer away at him and hope that eyes that aren’t open will eventually open and see what I see. This is a man who has screwed everybody who has gotten in his way or done business with him, and God only knows what terrible things he’s done to women because there are at least two, including one who was 13 at the time, that have filed charges against him for rape.

This man is very, very, very insecure. To feel good about themselves, insecure people have a need to make others feel less in order to make themselves feel good. That’s why Trump wages psychological warfare and belittles and intimidates people and makes suggestions that others aren’t quite right, that there must be something wrong with them even as he throws up his hands and shamelessly says he is just passing along what he has read or what others have said. No mind, that those “others” are never named.

He’s had over 3,000 law suits filed against him or his companies because of his business practices. They have been filed by people and companies who worked for him on various projects and the overriding theme of these suits is that he refuses to pay what their contract with him was agreed upon. Invariably, these people and companies settle for less because to take the suit out to its logical and just conclusion would cost them more than the settlement they could get by going to trial. And Trump and his bevy of lawyers know that.

Trump doesn’t stop his belittlement with just people. He has taken to social media, to mainstream media and to the recent Republican National Convention to tell the world how bad America is. He’s been tearing this country down from the start of his presidential campaign and will no doubt continue to rip it apart from now until election day in November.

And he does that because in order to make “American Great Again” he has to tear it down. It’s the same psychological warfare that he wages on his opponents. In order for him to be secure and make himself out to be this country’s savior, he first has to rip it down in order for him to save it.

Trump has disparaged just about everything that is good about America. But don’t believe his psychological warfare. We live in the greatest country on earth. It is the most powerful. It is seen world-wide as the good in a world that is increasingly violent and the example that others wish they were. It’s a reason so many people either come here or send their children here to be educated.

This country is the beacon of hope for the world. We live in the earthly promise land. If you don’t think so, then go live in Russia or China, or Iran or Saudi Arabia or many other places where limitations on freedoms are as common as the air we breathe.

The message he continues to spew out with hate has only one ending – only Trump can fix everything. That is the true mark of a dictator – only he can save the world.

A true democratic person will message that the only way to fix any problems that exist is to work within the constitution and within the checks and balances of our democratic government to get things done. That means working with both sides of the aisle in congress and living up to the laws as confirmed by the judiciary.

But this man will do as he says he will do, and that is to take down his political opponents, close our borders, run out illegals, ban Muslins, and order the military to do unconstitutional things, including torture, start trade wars, weaken our military abroad and punish those who oppose him, most of all the media.

How this man was allowed to rise is the worst thing that has happened in my lifetime. I’m afraid, not just for me because my expiration date is close at hand, but for those who can’t see the trees from the forest. Trump, and the way he has treated people and companies, would not have survived in most other places on earth. His bombastic bullying and negativity would have had deadly consequences. He is extremely lucky to so far have gotten away with his dirty and often unlawful shenanigans here in the greatest country on earth…

There is a good reason why perhaps the worse autocratic man on this earth – Russia’s Putin – is doing everything in his book of dirty tracks to help Trump win this election, including hacking into the Democratic National Committee data base and stealing embarrassing content and releasing some of it to Wikileaks in an effort to discredit Hillary Clinton. Why do you think Putin hacked the Democrats and not the Republicans?

Putin knows Trump wants to build big buildings in the Russia motherland and through back financial channels has filtered money to help Trump stay afloat because major U.S. Banks have finally cut him off. He reportedly owes the German Deutsche Bank $350 million, although that bank continues to lend him money, including $170 million to turn the Old Post Office building in Washington, D.C., ,which is close to the White House, into a luxury hotel.

If Trump wins the presidential election, you can bet that Putin will soon have his troops and tanks rolling into Balkan countries on Russia’s flank because Trump has promised in the campaign to weaken, if not destroy, NATO, the counterforce to Putin’s aggressive behavior.

Military generals who have spoken about the dangers of a Trump presidency and who are helping Veterans Organizations raise money to oppose his election are speaking out for a reason and we should be listening.

But I’m afraid. Very afraid. This man is the definition of evil. I wish mainstream media would pick up on this and start to peel back the veneer and reveal the real truth about this evil. They could start by demanding that he release his tax returns and by doing a solid investigation on his behavior toward women and his views on blacks and gays and transgenders.

And they should focus on what is going on with the relationship he and his inner circle have with Putin. Instead, some poor stiff in Bumerton has to scream as loud as he can that America is about to be destroyed by a man who shouldn’t be elected dog catcher for fear dogs would be endangered.

Sorry to alarm you, but I have been around for a long time and have been interested in the political process almost since I could walk, and this is more dangerous times than I can remember.

Yes, I know Ken Griffey was inducted into Cooperstown today, and I was covering the Mariners when he arrived and when he departed for Cincinnati. I have had interaction with him, but as important as this occasion was for him and probably for you, the more important one is unfolding across the greatest country in the world and I don’t want to see if destroyed by his man.

On that note, I’m outta here.

Be well pal.

Be careful out there.

Have a great day.

You are loved.
