TERRY MOSHER

It boggles my mind that evangelical Christians by and large favor Donald Trump in this election for our president. I get it that being a Christian means you forgive those who are off the spiritual path – the turn the other cheek, sort of metaphoric.

But at what point does a Christian say, wait a minute, this person has never been close to a spiritual path and seems bent never to walk that path so do I still have to turn the other check when he repeatedly blasts me and Christian belief? Does that still mean I have to vote for him?

I guess the answer is yes from what I have read and seen. That is what boggles my mind. Don  (the Terrible) Con wouldn’t know a church from a hole in the ground, the first time he reads the Bible will be the first time, and that likely will never come.

So why do the Christians turn the other cheek and want to vote for him?

I think they are blinded like so many others to his silver tongue that spews hatred so easily that it becomes like a huge dung pile at the largest farm in the country. I don’t know how they are blinded, but they are. That is what boggles my mind. How?

Don the Con is the most vile and dishonest man to ever run for president. He is everything bad and evil you can think of in a man. Yet, Christians appear ready to vote for him.

Why?

Don the Con is the modern day Judas, he’s Peter, ready to disown Christians, ready to deny that the church exists. He can’t wait to get his hands on power to destroy all we hold dear. He is evil reincarnated. Yet, Christians appear ready to crown Don the Con as the king.

Now I don’t want to throw a blanket over all Christians and suggest they all will vote for him. But it’s clear that many are ready to do so. I know at least one Christian that will not.

Me.

Everything you think you believe in being Christian, Don the Con is not. He is just the opposite. He is all about himself. He is not very smart. He is a fool and is being manipulated by the Russians. He is a rapist. He is a criminal. He is a big-time hater. He is a cheat. He is a racist. He is morally bankrupt. He is a serial liar. He is a misogynist.

Yet, Christians appear ready t o pull the lever and vote for him

Wow!!!

Don the Con is the darkest of a human being I have ever seen or heard. Everything he darkly says about others he is revealing himself. When he calls his opponent crooked, that is what he is. When he says she should be locked up, he is talking about himself.

Psychologists will tell you that when a person speaks of somebody else in negative terms it reveals the speaker to have higher levels of narcissism and antisocial behavior. It can, psychologists suggest, lead that person to have a greater likelihood of depression and various personality disorders, including being neurotic.

Bernie Sanders repeated called Trump a psychological liar. He nailed it. But that is just part of the disorder of Don the Con. He has so many personality disorders that it would take a huge book to list them all.

Bottom line is that despite Christians liking the guy, he is extremely dangerous to all of us, including Christians. They are just blind to the danger because they want to believe all he says, even as his lies stack up and make that dung pile the highest in recorded history.

I would find it amusing if it wasn’t so dangerous that Christians that I know parrot the same lines and lies that Don the Con uses on the campaign trail, including that the election is rigged. That’s an ominous one because if Don the Con loses, as expected, those Christians should expect the worst from their causal acceptance of the modern day Judas, the modern day Peter because Don the Con never loses, and he will never accept anything else.

Does that mean Don the Con will encourage his supporters, including the evangelical Christians, the white supremacists, the alt-right people who are part of his campaign staff, to stage a revolt on the streets?

Possibly. Nothing should be taken off the table when we are talking about Don the Con. He is has shown in his 70-years of life that he will do anything to obtain and retain power, privilege and money, even cozying up to the Russians.

His campaign has never been about America. He has used a burn and slash style of campaigning to intimidate, bully, and destroy through serial lying anything and anybody that opposes him. He will do the same whether he wins or loses this election.

So my fellow Christians, welcome to the despicable world of Don the Con. You have enabled him as much as the weak-kneed officials of the Republican Party. Guys like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell have stood meekly by while the man they enabled destroyed their party and will destroy American if elected.

All these people, including the evangelical Christians, have substituted “In God We Trust” with “In Trump We Trust” and I will not turn my cheek if it turns out the way they hope.

God help us.

I’m going to try to forget for a few hours what these people have done and see if the Seahawks can find their offensive mojo against the Bills on a national TV broadcast. That will be my respite from all this terrible stuff that Don the Con has spewed for the last six months.

Be well pal.

Be careful out there.

Have a great day.

You are loved.
