TERRY MOSHER

TOP OF THE TOWN ‑ It is a crazy time in the sports world. We had Connecticut blow through the men’s Mad Madness like the tornadoes that have smacked the south as the Huskies overwhelmed opponents on the way to the NCAA basketball championship and we had the largest TV audience (9.9 million) view LSU’s destruction of Iowa and its superstar Caitlin Clark in the women’s March Madness title game. The sideshow had LSU’s Angel Reese turning the tables on Clark after the Tigers beat up on the Hawkeyes by taunting her with John Cena’s “You can’t see me” and pointing to her ring finger. Clark, who scored 30 points, was gracious in post-game comments and Reese stuck to her guns because she felt Clark had disrespected her teammate, Alexis Morris. Bottom line, welcome to the world of trash talking. The worst part is Jill Biden suggesting to her husband that he should invite Iowa, along with the winning Tigers to the White House, as is customary. That’s about as dumb as it gets. Thankfully, Clark agreed it was dumb… I’m tired of the Aaron Rodgers saga. He’s one of the all-time great quarterbacks and he’s very intelligent. But he likes to hog the limelight and I think it’s about time that everybody moves on from him. And the Baltimore Ravens are treating Lamar Jackson like dirt. Jackson has asked for a trade and it’s obvious he doesn’t want to play for them. It’s becoming clear that the rest of the NFL doesn’t want Jackson either. Somebody, though, needs to step up and make a deal for Jackson. He’s too good to be shunned. .. Happy to see the Mariners finally woke up, smoking home runs as they slapped around the Angels 11-2 on Tuesday night. They are likely to be put back to sleep today as Shohei Ohtani takes the mound for the Angels. Powder-puff pitcher Chris Flexen is going for the Mariners, taking the place of injured Robbie Ray. On paper, this is a classic mismatch. Ok, enough. I have to do some errands. Stay safe.

Be well pal.

Be careful out there.

Have a great day

You are loved.
