Manziel should be taken out to the woodshed

Bumming around town with Bill Bumerton

Bumerton is a retired Navy fighter pilot who had been missing in action for several years while he traversed the globe looking for greener grass. He discovered the grass is only greener here (it’s blue in Kentucky), so he returned to again take charge of his 1954 green Hudson Hornet that has been in storage, refilled his pipe, and is ready to continue his smokin’ ways. Here is what he recently told us at the Sports Paper.

That Johnny Manziel character may not be worththe trouble. I have no doubts, Big Dawg, he is a gifted quarterback. He’s proven that. But if the Website Rumors and Rants is correct in its allegations, then the guy is trouble with a capital “T”.  The Website claims that Manziel lied about the reason why he left the Manning Passing Academy (he overslept, he told the media). The real reason is that he was out late at night on Bourbon Street and then lied to Archie Manning about it. He was then asked to leave the academy.  He has a pattern of misbehavior, and I’m wondering if a potential NFL team would take a chance on a guy like that. I’m betting, Big Dawg, a team would, but, boy, it’s a big gamble. Me? I’d take him out to the woodshed.
