South Kitsap will have two entrants in the 2014 Arcadia Invitational that will be held Friday and Saturday at ArcadiaHigh School in California.  Sophomore Nolan Van Amen will throw the discus and junior Mason Villarma will run the 800 and the 1600.

Van Amen set the SK school record in the discus in the first track and field meet of the year, spinning it out to 169-10.

Villarma has run the 800 in 1:59.3 and the 1600 in 4:32.4 this year, although last year as a sophomore he ran much better times – 1:56.05 in the 800 and 4:19.27 in the 1600.

While Villarma and Van Amen are competing against some of the best in the nation in California, their teammates will be competing in the Tacoma Invitational at the Lincoln Bowl.
