Does anybody know where the whereabouts of Tom Tennis?

That’s the question posed today to his sister, who lives in Nevada. Her answer is that the last contact she had with him is by phone in 2000 as she was moving to Nevada from Bremerton. Tom would be 59 now, if he is still alive, and probably not in shape to throw the javelin 225 feet, two  inches as he did in 1972 for Central Kitsap High School to set the West Sound all-time record. They don’t throw the same style javelin in high school anymore, so Tom’s record will stand for eternity.

Unfortunately, Tom’s life, as far as we know, hasn’t been good. It took a turn for the worse a long time ago. His story would be worth telling, if he would  talk, assuming he is still alive.  It’s probable not going to happen. But, never say never. So, if you know how to get in contact with Tom give the Sports Paper a jingle at bigmosher@msn.com
