Spencer Ludwig opened the 2016-17 local bowling season by winning his fourth Kitsap Scratch Bowlers Association title. Ludwig won the KSBO Open by beating Warren Cox 236-197 in the title match rolled at All Star Lanes in Silverdale

Cody Moen won the 19th Hole Bar and Grill 205-and-Under Division. Moen qualified second and knocked off the top qualifier, Doc Patterson, 189-183 to secure his second KSBO crown.

Prior to the tournament we gave out our awards that were earned from last season. The 2015-16 All Star team was honored. It is comprised of Nick Bachteler, Travis Darting, Lonnie Sharkey, Tim Clemens and Mike VanWinkle.

Bachteler earned the Bowler of the Year in the Open Division and Craig Wilkey was the Bowler of the Year in the 205-and- Under Division.

Louie Lazzarini was named Rookie of the Year.

This Saturday (Oct.8) the second KSBO tournament will be held at Laurel Lanes in Port Angeles. Bowlers will compete in the Certified Hearing Open and the Peninsula Bottling 205-and-Under Division.
