Jacob Thomas and Casey Jamrog teamed to win the 35th annual Kitsap Scratch Bowlers Organization’s Lakeside Industries Doubles Tournament held at Hi-Joy Bowl in Port Orchard.

Thomas and Jamrog took the lead after the semifinals and beat back the hot team of Melissa Clewis and Charlie Lynch 203-169 in the finals to give Jamrog his third KSBO title and Thomas his second.

Clewis and Lynch bowled 11 strikes in a row to win their semifinal match 290-200 over Skeet Dugdale and Mike Van Winkle to move into the finals.

This tournament was the annual KSBO Toys for Tots (KSBO has done this since 1985) and combined with Lakeside Industries a total of $5,476 was raised for Toys for Tots.

”Once again Lakeside employees spearheaded by Sue Stayrook came to the tournament and sold raffle tickets,” said KSBO secretary Alison Eoff. “I would like to thank the following people – Jim Wiedman, manager, Scott Smaalden, Mike Thomas, Steve Aurdal, Georges Peabody, Craig Vig, Woody Russell, and Bret McGuire for taking the time out of their busy day to help us with such a worthy cause.

“I would also like to thank all of the KSBO bowlers and spectators who donated toys, food and money as well as those who donated the items that were raffled off during the tournament. Thank you all for your patience as this is our longest tournament of the season.”

This tournament concluded the first half of the KSBO season. The next tournament – Tournament of Non-Champions/Champions sponsored by Don Holtz Realtor and Talbot Excavating ‑ will be held at Silverdale’s All Star Lanes on Feb. 10.
