TERRY MOSHER

This is the second week of the Guest Guesser and I am 19-6 (75 percent) going into this weekend. The one college game that had me thinking is the Tulsa at Arkansas State contest. Tulsa is obviously better than I had originally thought (when I lived in Tulsa in mid-60s I would go to the Golden Hurricane games), but so is Arkansas State. The early line had the Golden Hurricanes favored by two points in a high-scoring game. I’m going for the upset and take Arkansas State. Another college game that worries me is Army at Cincinnati. The two teams seem evenly matched. I took Cincinnati because they are at home. In the NFL, I wonder about Atlanta. The Falcons can score and the Chicago Bears pride themselves on their defense. I just think the Falcons have too many offensive weapons, so I take them to defeat the Bears. The Rams at Buffalo should be a donnybrook. Buffalo is thinking they are contenders this season, so I’m going with the Bills. The Detroit at Arizona contest should be a shoot-out. Maybe it’s 42-38 or something like that.  I like the Cardinals to hold the Lions off. The game of the week is Kansas City at Baltimore with Patrick Mahomes going against Lamar Jackson. I’m giving the edge to the Ravens based on their defense and them being at home.  But I think you are looking at Super Bowl contenders. I thought Baltimore would win it last year. Kansas City instead won it. Maybe I was thinking a year ahead. We’ll see. That’s it for this week. Don’t lose your mortgage payment betting on any of these games.
