We are now closer than I can remember to being a country without a government. The right wing of the Republican Party has taken this country hostage and nothing but complete surrender will stop them from undermining our democracy and causing us to fall off the fiscal cliff.
It’s unbelievable that we have come to this point. I don’t understand the right wing that care so little for so many people that they will do anything to stop the government from feeding the poor, and from imposing taxes on the rich.
This is Robin Hood in reverse. Rob the poor to feed the rich.
If the far right succeeds, we will have little or no social programs that educate and help the disadvantaged. It’s possible that we may not be able to help ourselves. Period.
Where did these crazy people come from? We are all God’s children and we need to care for and love our brothers and sisters. But this is just the opposite of that.
Are we in the middle of a revolution?
Is there a far right dictatorship on the horizon?
It’s possible ‑ and I would never have believed this before ‑ so maybe we should follow the NRA and all roll out and purchase guns.
We may need them.
God help us.
