It is just not happening. This is very convoluted. It all started with Yankees signing Jacob Ellsbury, who is a Scott Boras client. Boras is just trying to shove Shin-Soo Choo into Yankees. Boras wants to burn Cano and Jay-Z for stealing Cano away from him.
I throw around a term stalking horse frequently. The Mariners were first used in that regard by Boras when he got then Texas owner Tom Hicks to sign A-Rod.
