Alex Rodriguez is one strange dude. He’s like the kid that hangs around with the in-crowd despite being told he isn’t welcomed and is treated rather poorly.
Doesn’t matter, the kid still comes around, still gets shoved around and laughed at. He refuses to take no for an answer, and doesn’t get it that he is being made to look like the biggest fool in the world.
By suing MLB and the players association, A-Rod is that little kid who gets a big baseball bat and smashes in his tormentors’ toys, thinking that now he will get some respect and be loved by them.
Can you imagine A-Rod being welcomed back to the Yankees after all this? And it doesn’t matter if he wins his suit or not, the damage to his image has been done. He continues to make things worse, continues to isolate himself from those he desperately wants to be friends with, and continues to not get it.
The basic problem is that he cannot see past himself. He cannot see that he lost the public relations battle a long time ago and that no matter what happens from here on out he will always be labeled A-Fraud.
It’s sad.
