Saint Martin’s Krista Stabler, a 5-foot-6 senior guard from Central Kitsap, leads the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) in scoring at 18.5 points a game.

Stabler and the Saints will play again Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Marcus Pavilion on the St. Martin’s campus in Lacey against Western Washington in another conference battle.

Saint Martin’s is tied for fourth place in conference with a 3-3 record (5-8 overall) and Western (5-1, 9-5) is tied for the lead with Alaska Anchorage and Montana State Billings.

Rebekah Baugh, a 5-9 freshman from North Kitsap has started nine games for the Saints and is averaging 3.5 points a game.

Jessica Madison, a 5-8 senior guard from Port Angeles, is averaging 11.2 points for Alaska Anchorage (5-12, 18-1), the defending conference champions. Alaska Anchorage beat Western Washington in last year’s conference championship, lost in the first round of the NCAA II West Regional Tournament and finished the season with a 29-1 record and the No. 1 ranking in the country in the regular season.

The conference also includes Central Washington, Simon Fraser, Seattle Pacific, Alaska Fairbanks, Northwest Nazarene, Concordia and Western Oregon.
