It is amazing that Donald Trump continues to lie even in the face of evidence that it’s a lie. He continues to say that he saw a video of money being unloaded from a plane in an airport in Iran even as his campaign said that there is no such video.
But this is in line with what a psychologist said on TV the other day about Trump. He said that to Trump it’s not a lie if he says it. If somebody else would say that same thing then it’s a lie, according to Trump. But if he says it, it’s the truth.
Wow, it’s unbelievable.
How much longer than this nonsense ‑ this insanity – go on?
You know what bothers me about this, and Trump for me is a very dangerous man who could destroy democracy and our country if he was to get elected, is that his own party bosses rebuke him for lying, but at the same time continue to say they endorse him for the presidency.
I have lost all respect for John McCain because even after admitting Trump is lying he still won’t back away from supporting him. McCain and other party bosses’ refusal to reject Trump is a good reason why we should have term limits. It wasn’t’ mean to be like this. Our founding fathers reluctantly served their country, but then they would go back to their farms after helping out for a short while.
Now, people make a profession out of being a politician and will do (and say) anything to remain in office. Then when they leave, they sign on as a lobbyist with a big D.C. firm and continue to make a good living off the politics of government.
I think there should be term limits and a law that they cannot become lobbyists once they leave office.
I also believe now that in the face of having a man like Trump running for president, that we ought to have a psychological evaluation done of them before they can run for president, and make that evaluation public to us voters.
But I guess that’s what you get in a great country like ours; pretenders and contenders and people who can’t tell the truth if it stares them in the face. The good thing is that we are a smart group of people and we can see through the BS, through the lies, the con, and make the right choices to continue to make our country great.
That’s what freedom is all about – the ability to make choices based on reasoned facts, and not lies and BS and the con. Only in America can we have all of that and come out the other side of an election still with the greatest and most powerful country in the world.
