Mike VanWinkle earned his 16th Kitsap Scratch Bowlers Organization title, one he said was the most important to him, by stopping Leo Funari 236-205 in the TV Finale of the George Peabody Memorial that was held at Laurel Lanes in Port Angeles and sponsored by Lakeside Industries.
“It was a title he told me that meant more to him than anything else as he and George Peabody were close friends,” said KSBO secretary Alison Eoff.
Josh Alewine, the qualifying leader after the semifinals, beat Cody Moen 223-212 in the TV Finale. It was Alewine’s first KSBO title.
