Sophomore Tyishea McWhorter of Bremerton continues to make progress in the sprints. McWhorter now leads Westsound in the 100 (12.38) and 200 (25.48) and is third in the 400 (1:00.98.

Mya King of Central Kitsap crossed the one-minute mark in the 400 by running a 59.36 to top the area.

North Kitsap’s Kainen Warren tops the area in the high jump (6-04) and triple jump (46-09) and is second to Port Townsend’s Seren Dances in the long jump at 21-03. Dances has gone 23-01, which is just off the all-time Westsound record of 23-04.25 set by Central Kitsap’s Will Dozier in 1989. Dozier also holds the triple jump mark of 49-03.5 he set the same year.

Connor Morris of South Kitsap leads in the 800 (1:57.32) and the 1600 (4:24.79) and is the anchor on the school’s 1600 relay team that sits second in Westsound with a time of 3:30.97. Bainbridge is the clear leader in the 1600 relay at 3:24.58.
