Adam Johnson, sophomore at Olympic High School, is speeding among the state elites in the 2A classification. Johnson has the second best time in state in the 100 with a time of 11 seconds (Cheney’s Charles Johnson is first at 10.67) and has the sixth best time of 22.56 in the 200 (Charles Johnson again leads with a time of 21.48.

Bremerton senior Jesse Smith is tied for the second best pole vault effort in 2A at 14 feet. Thomas Janicki of Sedro Woolley has gone 14-07 to lead 2A.

In other notable Westsound performances, Bainbridge junior Carlo Ruggiero has the  third best 800 time in 3A at 1:56.74. Teammate Carter Hall, also a junior, has the 16th best 3A time in the event at 1:59.22.

Olympic’s 4 x100 relay team anchored by junior Darelle White is tied for fifth best in 2A at 43.77.

South Kitsap sophomore Deyondre Davis has the fifth best time in the 300 hurdles among 4A hurdlers at 39.91.

Seth Tower, sophomore at Central Kitsap, is tied for the fifth best high jump in 3A at six-feet-four and senior teammate Zion Archer is seventh in the triple jump at 44-06. Molly Fischer, senior at CK, has the 10th best 3A time in the 1600 at 5:09.86.

Olympic junior Hanna Troy has run the 100 in 12.41, good for fifth place among 2A state runners.

A freshman has broken into among the elites in the 3A discus. That would be . Central Kitsap’s Ho’oponokauillani Fuiava. She has flipped the discus out to 132 feet, four inches, which is third in 3A
