Seahawks need to pick a quarterback in the NFL draft

TOP OF THE TOWN ‑  I  don’t know how the Seahawks pull it off, but not a good leader. If you haven’t noticed, the teams that they need a quarterback in the worse way. Geno Smith or Drew Lock just don’t make it for me. Lock makes throws he shouldn’t make and Geno is not consistent under pressure. They are both decent backups but are not prime time passers. Geno is have advanced deep into the playoffs have star quarterbacks – Patrick Mahomes, Jordan Love, Josh Allen, Jared Goff, Lamar Jackson and rookie C.J. Stroud. It’s possible Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr. might fall to 16th in the April 25-27 NFL draft, which is where the Seahawks pick. It’s more likely J.J. McCarthy or Tulane’s Michael Pratt will drift down to 16th, which is alright with me. I like McCarthy. He’s a leader. Penix is a leader, but I don’t know if he holds up under pressure. No matter what, it will be interesting to see if the Seahawks will pick a quarterback. They don’t have the optimistic Pete Carroll anymore sticking with Geno and Drew, so now is the time to get a franchise QB. That is it for today. Stay safe.
