The Northwest Blaze Baseball Club will conduct tryouts for its series of 2014 teams on Sunday at the main baseball field at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds. Tryouts for ages 12-13 will be held noon to 2 p.m., 14-15 go from 2-4 p.m. and 16-18 from 4-6 p.m.

The Blaze is trying to fill 2014 rosters for six teams, from 12U to 18U.

Anybody missing this tryout date can request a tryout from Aug. 5-17 at the team’s training facility – The Yard – near Belfair. August 18 is also being set aside as a tryout date, but it has to be done by appointment only.

Call Terrel Hansen (360) 710-9594 or Pete Randall (253) 241-7381 for further information. You can also visit the team Website at www.Northwestblaze.org.

Hansen is a former professional baseball player – he had a brief cup of coffee with the New York Mets – who has built the Blaze into one of the top select teams in the area. Randall is the pitching coach for the Olympic College Rangers, and was a longtime professional baseball scout.
