Pacific Lutheran ran its record to 31-12 Wednesday when it came from behind three times to knock off Emory 9-6 in the NCAA D-3 South Regional at Loudermilk Field in Demorest, Georgia

The Lutes scored four times in the bottom of the eighth to rally for the final time, taking the lead to 9-6. The Lutes will now play Thursday against the Birmingham-Southern and Marietta winner. The game is set for 4 p.m.

Curtis Wildung, PLU senior catcher from Kingston High School, tripled in his first at-bat and walked two other times. Tanner Williams drove in four runs and Tyler Thompson hit his fifth home run for the Lutes.

Wildung committed his first error of the season on catcher’s interference call.
