A Bremerton High School athletic fundraiser and the annual Les Eathorne Memorial Golf Tournament have been combined this year and renamed Big Cup.

The Big Cup will be held Oct. 10 at Gold Mountain Golf Complex with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The format is so named because each green will hold an eight-inch cup instead of the regulation four-inch golf cup. And instead of foursomes, the grouping will be two foursomes teeing off on the same tee using the best ball format.

The entry fee is $125 a person. The fee includes a golf cart and food with $85 of the fee going to your choice of a Bremerton High School athlete team or to the Les Eathorne Memorial Fund, which each year provides scholarships and aids in helping local youth athletes.

Sports Beyond, a non-profit organization run by former East Bremerton High School All-American basketball player Rick Walker, is hosting the event.

Entries with checks made payable to Sports Beyond can be mailed to Sports Beyond, PO Box 1571, Silverdale, WA. 98383. Include name and address of each four member of your team.

Sponsorships from $125 to $1,000 donations are also being accepted. Reply to Sports Beyond at the above address.
