RUSSELL WILSON

Just a few quick notes on the Seahawks’ 25-20 today in New Orleans to the Saints.  It was pretty obvious to me that this Hawk offensive line is not very good at pass blocking. George Fant, in particular, was not good in run or pass blocking. The Hawks are in trouble if this doesn’t get fixed in a hurray. Two, Russell Wilson is not near 100 percent. His mobility is maybe 50 percent what it was. He does not have that quickness he once did to escape the pass rush. That is no secret around the league and team’s plan their defense knowing he is limited, and that obviously works against the Hawks. It is also clear that the Hawks are not great against the run. They aren’t terrible. I would say they are average. The good thing is when Wilson gets some rhythm going in a hurry-up offense, the Hawks are very good. But they aren’t consistent in it. Also didn’t think Richard Sherman had a great game, again. The Saints targeted him on their first play of the game for a completion. Teams are not fearing him like they once did. That’s about it off the top of my head. A win today would have put the Hawks in a great situation in the division. As it is, they are still leading because Arizona went down to defeat, but if OL problems don’t get addressed, this could be a long and dreadful season.
