If you are interested in high school sports, Wednesday (March 27) would be a good time to visit the Cloverleaf Sports Bar & Grill in east Bremerton. On tap as guest speakers for a 6 p.m. meeting of the Kitsap Athletic Roundtable are Mike Colbrese, executive director of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) and new South Kitsap football coach Dan Ericson.
Ericson, former football coach at Klahowya, will be talking about the SK football program, his vision moving forward and why he was attracted to the position.
Colbrese, who became executive director in 1993 after serving six years as the commissioner of the Wyoming High School activities Association, will be open to questions about sports in Washington, including athletic Eligibility, high school transfer rules, and school classifications.
