Nolan Van Amen in shot put

NOLAN VAN AMEN

South Kitsap freshman Nolan Van Amen won the shot put at the Arcadia Invitational in California. Van Amen tossed the shot 55-0.75, a personal record. He defeated another freshman – Kylan Wilborn of Notre Dame (California), who went 53-01.25 for second place.

Nolan did not compete in the discus, which he has throw 172-7 this year for a school record. His brother Chandler, a junior at SK, finished 17th in the discus at 137-09.

Mason Villarma, a junior at SK, took 20th in the mile at 4:23.53 and 35thin the 800 at 1:59.05

Nathan Hale’s Aedon Roberts, a senior, was 7th in the 800 at 1:55.26. The event was won by Carlos Willarreal of Rio Rico of Arizona in a time of 1:53.23.

Andrew Walton, a senior from Mountain Visa in Colorado won the mile in 4:15.10. Junior Andrew Vandine of North Central in Spokane finished 5th in 4:18.23.
